TEEPEES

O.K.
So I did not spell Teepee the way you want.
Teepee can be spelled several ways and I have
not taken time to ask any of my Indian friends.
They live in houses and might not know anyway.

Teepee can also be spelled, Tipi or Tepee.  Or
so the internet tells me.  Perhaps the ones above
are a "Tipi" and a "Teepee".  I don't know.

The ones above are (were) at Fort Rock Family
Camp.  They were put up for when there was
overflow conditions causing a bedroom shortage.
And of course the kids like that kind of camping.

However.
It was found that when there was not a camp
going on, the cows liked the Teepees as well
as the kids did.

Cows and Teepees do not mix well.
So, the Teepees are gone now.

PADDEL THAT BOAT

Here is a boy enjoying life at Fort Rock Family Camp.

As  I think about it, there is a difference between
"paddle a boat" and "a paddle boat".  In this case the
boy is on "a paddle boat" paddling his way to shore.

But even more exciting to myself is, HIS NOSE IS NOT
STUCK IN SOME ELECTRONIC DEVICE.  This boy
some how got his nose out of his cell phone and entered
into life it's self for a little while.

BIG GUN IN THE SHOP

SILAS, THE BIG GUN IN THE SHOP.

I was donating some time at Fort Rock Family camp
when Silas came walking in with the cordless drill
hanging on to his pocket.   He was wanting to do a
man's job.  But as we say, "He is a little short in the
britches" to be much help.

But I do like to let the kids help some.  They have
to learn too.  But as you know.  Too much help and
you don't get anything at all done.

But, I still call them helpers.

FORT ROCK FAMILY CAMP.

I try to put in one day a week helping here.
One of my favorite eating spots is siting in
a rocking chair on the front porch of the fort
when no one is there.

BEING PREPARED

The casket belongs to Mr. Terry Forsyth owner and
director of Fort Rock Family camp.  He made it for
himself.

Mr. Forsyth is well aware that God said;
"...it is appointed for men to die once
and after this comes judgment,"
(Hebrews 9:27 NASB)
So he made his own casket and uses it as
decor at the camp until the day comes when
he needs it for himself.

PENNY

Meet Penny.

This is (was) Penny.
She was one of the interesting sights at Fort Rock Family
Camp.  My understanding is that someone left here there
with the camp.  Penny was allowed to wonder all over the
farm and woods area.  When driving up to the camp directors
house you were often met by Penny.  She would not allow
you to pet her.  But she was making sure who was coming
and going.

Even pigs have an age limit.  Penny met hers several years
ago.  Personally I miss Penny.

FORT ROCK FAMILY CAMP

Fort Rock Family Camp.

In the Ozark mountains of North West Arkansas is
this Christian family camp.

The faint hair line you see in the sky line is the zip
line that comes from a tower up on the mountain
and across the lake to a tower where I am standing.

You can read about the camp on line at
"Fort Rock Family Camp".

FORT ROCK

Yes.
They still build forts.
This one is in Brashears, Arkansas.

BUT
There are better, stronger ones,
GOD.

"Take me to a safe refuge,
for you are my protector,
my strong defense against
my enemies."
(Psalms 61:3 GNT.)
