I know. I know. I have posted the picture
of this pump before - about four years ago.
But it is wore out again.
This pump is at Fort Rock Family Camp.
I try to donate time and effort there when
I can, And the camp director told me that
when I come next week I will need to repair
the poor old pump again.
When they have the family camps - that means
daddy, mother and all the kids - the little kids
in particular just love to pump that old pump
and watch the water go into the horse trough.
I don't know how many times I have had to
repair the poor old pump. And of course the
kids don't mind dropping rocks, sand, dirt,
sticks or what ever in the pump. Maybe that
is fun too.
If I were as young as you are these thoughts
would not go through my mind. But, at my
age and as many times as I have been to the
doctor or in the hospital, and I am still not
working at full capacity, I begin to feel like
that poor old pump.
A person that is not in a personal relationship
with God, i.e., Jesus Christ had better hold on
to this earthly life as long as possible. Because
after that is pure agony.
But those of us who are in a relationship with
God look at it a little differently.
"While we live in these earthly bodies,
we groan and sigh, but it's not that
we want to die and get rid of these
bodies that cloth us. Rather, we want
to put on our new bodies so that these
dying bodies will be swallowed up by
life."
( 2 Corinthians 5:4 NLT)
Yes, God has promised that those who are
in a personal relationship with him when
they die will be given new heavenly bodies.
No more doctors, nurses, medicines or
hospitals.
PRAISE GOD.
