This makes me think of someone I know very well.
The person I am thinking of is a family member,
a very good person and I am proud to have him in
the family.
But. The things he tells me he is going to do,
well, they still need to be done. They have needed
to be done for months. You have to pick up a hammer
to nail back a loose board. You have to pick up a
paint brush and open a can of paint to get the painting
done. They don't get done by just wishing them done.
It makes me thing of the Scripture that says;
“Talk is cheap, like daydreams
and other useless activities.
Fear God instead.”
(Ecclesiastes 5:7 NLT)
This makes me realize how much of my time
has been wasted in daydreaming. It was all
wasted time. I should have spent my time
aligning myself with God and His Kingdom
instead.
