Obviously this is a tractor. I am not even sure
why I took this picture. But it is down [As I call
it.] at Fort Rock Family Camp. I have been
volunteering there for years.
Fort Rock is highly thought of by a lot of people.
So a lot of us donate time and effort to this ministry.
First their one and only purpose is to serve God.
And, they do it as economically as possible. [We call
that good stewardship.]
Therefore, they have an abundance of old or used
equipment. That is where I come in, FIXING THE
STUFF.
Have you noticed that the more "stuff" you have the
more there is to take care off? Even if it is only a
potted plant. You have to water it. Keep weeds from
growing in the pot. And in this part of the country,
move it inside, or out side, depending on the weather.
And all for what?
God tells us that we brought nothing into this world
when we were born. You knew that, didn't you?
And God tells us that when we die we are not going
to take any of it with us. Apparently a lot of people
are not aware of that fact.
How much "stuff" and "things"s are we wasting our
time effort and money on. At my age I am beginning
to see the wisdom of simplifying as much as possible.
All the material things I have are only something to
take care of. As for me, I want less to take care of and
more time spent getting ready to stand before God
when I die.
