This coffin is in the library at Fort Rock Family
Camp. Some years ago the camp directer built
the coffin for himself. Why? Because he knows
that in time he will die just like everyone of us.
Now that is a physical provision for his body.
Many people try to make provisions for their
time of death. They have insurance policies
or burial plots or funeral arraignments etc.
How ever, that only helps finish their physical
existence here on earth.
But there is something far, far more important.
We are going to be somewhere forever, whether
we like it or not. God said;
"And just as each person is destined
to die once and after that comes
judgment."
(Hebrews 9:27 NLT)
Our real provision needs to be in our relationship
with our creator or the one who gives us life it's self.
That's Jesus Christ. He loved us enough to die in
our place as a sacrifice for our sins. If we will but
turn to Christ and submit our lives to him then when
we stand before him in judgment we will be ready.
