Do you recognize it?
If you do, you are way past retirement age.
And, you had to be a car nut as a teenager.
That is a magnet off of the flywheel of a model T Ford.
There was a series of them bolted to the flywheel which
served to make an armature for the magneto.
They were produced between Oct. 1, 1908 to
May 26, 1927.
The model T Ford went under a number of nick names
Most often called: Tin Lizzie, Leaping Lena, Jitney,
and / or Flivver .
98 -73
The one in the image above, I do not remember where
I found it. I just remember finding it in the dirt
somewhere. That makes it approximately 73 to 98
years old. And, it still works, well some.
I am just starting into that age bracket now,
and looking just as rusty and worn out.
May God keep me going like that old magnet.
