A visitor to my hide out in the woods.
These guys would not be bad to have around except,
they burrow holes big enough to get in, meaning you
could step in them and hurt yourself. Also they "root"
around after worms, grubs and so forth which can tear
up your yard or garden area.
My experience with them is that most of the time
they go around as "individuals". However, one
time there were four young ones together at my hide
out. What was of interest to me was that while trying
to run them off rather than; barking, screaming,
meowing, or something else - they made a humming
sound. Maybe they like being run off.
At least armadillos are something different than a
barking dog.
