SAVE THE TICK

Hey!
If you have lived as long as I have -
you know that someone is always coming up with some
goofy cause.
The trend is to down play mankind's God given position
to that of simply part of the animal kingdom.

Have you gotten your "green" cause yet.
Something to save the ecological relationships
of man and beast?
Something to make a name for yourself?

Consider "SAVE THE TICK".

See that little guy above.
It's on someone's arm (Or body).
If you will leave him (it) alone it can become
as big as the fatty below.

All they want is some of your body fluids.
You have plenty if you are in good health.
Share some with a tick.

Make it a goal to save several type (species) of tick.

Yes.
Ticks can give you tick fever.
But what has that got to do with it?
Ticks were here before you were born.
Don't they have a right to live too?

Some one smart said the one above is a female.
Sure beats me.
I'll confess.
I have been killing all of them I could get
my hands on.
PLEASE FORGIVE ME.

Look at this beautiful selection of ticks.

I know.
Your question is,
"WHERE CAN I GET MY OWN TICK?"

The easiest way is to get off the couch.
Then take a hike or nature walk in the woods.
Some will hitch a ride home with you.

Lets save the ticks for future posterity.

LIFE A SHOPPING SPREE????

Shop till you drop.
Seems to be the philosophy our age.

Don't believe it.
That is a lie encouraged by merchants
to get rich at your expense.

"Watch out and guard yourselves from every kind
of greed; because your true life
is not made up of the things you own,
no matter how rich you may be."
-Luke 12:15 (GNB)

"But God said to him,
'You fool!
This very night you will have to give up your life;
then who will get all these things you have kept for yourself?'"
And Jesus concluded.
"This is how it is with those who pile up riches
for themselves
but are not rich in God's sight."
-Luke 12:20,21 (GNB)

STUFF HAPPENS

YES,
Thank God the driver came out of this alive.

fashions us for better things."
-H. W. Beecher

"I have had many troubles in my life,
but the worst of them never came."
-James A. Garfield.

"The wise man thinks about his troubles
only when there is some purpose in doing so;
at other times he thinks about other things.

"In all troublous events we may find comfort,
though it be only in the negative admission
that things might have been worse."

SIMPLIFY

"And I saw that all labor and all achievement
spring from man's envy of his neighbor.
This too is meaningless,
a chasing after the wind."
-Ecclesiastes 4:4 (NIV)

I did not say that.
It was Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived.

If we would work harder,
we could by more "stuff"
to take care of.
