POWER OF LIGHTING

THE POWER OF LIGHTING.

I was standing at the back door when this tree

got hit.  The intensity of the thunder indicated

it had to be close.  But it took me a couple of

days to find which tree it was.  It was about

150 feet from where I had been standing.

It is hard for me to grasp all that happened

to that tree in just an instant.  I guess the moral

of this is don't tempt lighting in the middle of 

a thunder storm.

LIGHTING.

I was standing at the back door looking out when

this one struck.  I did not know where it struck,

but it was obvious it was close.

A couple of days latter I spotted it.  The tree was

only about one hundred feet from the door I was

looking out.  Poor tree eventually died.  I did not

have any tree medicine.

I have lived here for forty five years now.  And

there has been at least three lighting strikes here

in that period of time.  The point of interest to me

is that all three of the strikes have been within

an area of about one hundred and fifty feet.

Lighting is hard on trees.

This lighting strike took out my internet too.

But I thank God it only took a router to 

get back in business.

Some of it finely blew down.

But the old tree is still hanging in there.
