Ever since I arrived in this part of the country
in 1973 I have been fascinated by this house.
Why, I don't know.
It is located on Hwy. 412 East of Hindsville, AR.
Very likely it was occupied at that time. Then
Hwy. 412 was only a two lane Hwy. in front of
it. But when the Hwy. was moved a few hundred
feet from it and made into a four lane divided Hwy.
possibly it was vacated then.
[If evolution worked, it would be improving,
instead of getting worse.]
But, my point is;
it reminds me of a song written by
Stuart Hamblen back in the 1950's.
The chorus goes like this:
Ain't got time to fix the shingles
Ain't got time to fix the floor
Ain't got time to oil the hinges
Nor to mend the window-pane
It is obvious that Mr. Hamblen was influenced
by the Scripture where the apostle Paul was
writing to those who were in a relationship
with Jesus Christ when he said;
"For we know that when this
earthly tent we live in is taken
down (that is, when we die and
leave this earthly body), we will have
a house in heaven, an eternal body
made for us by God himself and not
by human hands."
(2 Corinthians 5:1 NLT)
