OK, OK, OK.
So it is old and rusty. But so am I.
This obviously is an anvil made out of an old
rail road rail. I got it from a friend of mine many years
ago. I confess, I use another piece old rail road rail
most of the time just because of it's shape. But, either
one I can beat and pound on to my harts delight.
I like stuff that lasts and lasts and lasts. I hate all
this new stuff that has to be constantly updated,
repaired or replaced. I drive, by choice, an old
truck that is 37 years old. Even my wife's car is
19 years old. I don't want to pay a fortune just to
stay up to date and impress people.
With God's help I have out lived most of my
contemporaries and with his help I want to continue
on being useful for something even longer, even
if I am old and rusty.
"So, my dear brothers and sisters,
be strong and immovable. Always
work enthusiastically for the LORD,
for you know that nothing you do for
the Lord is ever useless."
(1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT)
