GOD'S GIFT TO MAN

 

NO.

I do not even know who the man is.

I do not know who took the picture.

I do not know the circumstances.

But at my age I can envy the man.

Anybody that has lost a nights sleep

because of sickness, injury, deep concerns,

worry or a host of other things knows what

a blessing a good nights sleep is.  In fact

prolonged loss of sleep can be disastrous.

True both God and man despise lazy people

who will sleep when they should work.

But a good nights sleep is a gift from God.

Here is a couple of my favorite Scriptures

in that regard.

"It is useless for you to work so hard

from early morning until late at night,

anxiously working for food to eat;

for God gives rest to his loved ones."

(Psalms 127:2 NLT)

"People who work hard sleep well,

whether they eat little or much.

But the rich seldom get a good 

night's sleep."   

(Ecclesiastes 5:12 NLT)
