I SMELL A RAT

THERE'S SOMETHING
HYPOCRITICAL HERE.
(All photos courtesy of: www.pixabay.com)

Rats and mice.
Keep them out of the house.
They destroy things and have germs.
Trap them, poison them, stomp on them,
but kill them.

Chickens, ducks, geese.  Keep them out of the house.
They are messy and smell.

Goats, sheep, lambs, horses.
Keep them out of the house.
They stink and destroy things.

Pigs, cows, donkeys.
Keep them out of the house.
They stink too.

Dogs and cats.
Bring them into the house.
Feed them, be nice to them.
They will make lots of noise,
stink, tear up and chew on things.
Then puke, pee and poop on the floor.

Or a big squirrel up to something.

But it was near some old mine equipment.

They just don't make them like they used to.

Even you and me.

TOO MANY

Too many to carry.
Too many to remember how
to work the menus.

The experts say it is better to have
one AND LEARN HOW TO USE
IT.

I hate to admit it.  But in my case
they are right.

Not a good place.
But it worked - for a while.

THUNDERBIRD'S NEST

I have heard about Thunderbirds all my life.

I finally found one nesting in the woods.

HOME MADE

That thing works.
It's maker calls it a "canjo"
The man who made it makes good
music on it.

If you are into music,
there's your idea.

GARLIC

Garlic is wonderful stuff.
God gave it to us.

But this particular patch is special.
You see, I did not even know it was there.
It survived about fifteen years there
with out me even knowing it.
And in a bad location.

The leaves,
yes, I put them down last fall to
help keep the weeds down.

And yes,
I dug the garlic up because
it was too crowded.

The second "clump" in the picture
I dug up a little early to check it's
maturity and it's health.

There were about 50 bulbs in
that clump.

READY TO RENT

I do not know why.
But I have always liked that play house.

It was for the granddaughter.
But when she got married,
her husband did not want to live
in it with her.

I would like to use it myself,
but it is in Southern California
and I'm 1800 miles away.

Cute little guy.
He was just after bugs,
not the rabbit in the cage.

NOT POPULAR TODAY

The cross and what it stands for is very
offensive to people who do not like the
truth.

Hey!
This one is not even at a church,
but at a private residence.

They must be more concerned about
what God thinks,
than people.

BACK SCRATCHER

For you city folks,
you need a tractor to make this thing work.

Lay on the ground - face down.
Then let the tractor driver drive over you.
It will not only stop the itching in your back,
but tear your back all apart.
Plus, muss up your hair for you.

On the farm they call it a "tedder".
It scatters the hay all over the
field for drying.

On second thought.
Just get a friend to scratch your back for you.

TALKING

Why does a mouth have to be always
going just because someone else is in
the room?

"You can be sure that on the Judgment
Day you will have to give account of
every useless word you have ever
spoken.  Your words will be used to
judge you - to declare you either
innocent or guilty."
(Matthew 12:36,37 TEV)

CANNONS

My photo canon.
To guard against rascals.

My noise cannon.
(Grandkids love it.)
To guard the drive way.

Terry with his water cannon.
To get the kids all wet.

What kind of cannon do you keep around?

THE UNSEEN

INFRARED

THE NATURAL EYE

So you think that if you cannot see it, touch it, taste it,
or hear it, it's not there.

Consider the top image.  It is in infrared.  That is,
invisible rays beyond the red end of the visible
spectrum.

Or consider "radio waves".  These are electromagnetic
waves at radio frequency.  But they were there long
before some one found out about them.  Can you
taste them?  And Yes, we have learned how to measure
and use them.

There is another realm that few people are aware of,
the realm of the "spiritual".  There is a whole world
out there that most people are not tuned into.

"God is Spirit,
and only by the power of
his Spirit can people worship
him as he really is."
(John 4:24 TEV)

If you are not tuned into God you are missing every
thing.

MONEY

"As a partridge that broods but does
not hatch,
So is he who gets riches,
but not by right;
It will leave him in the midst
of his days,
And at his end he will be a fool."

ONLY ONE LIFE

"Whereas you do no know what
will happen tomorrow.  For what
is your life?  It is even a vapor that
appears for a little time and then
vanishes away."
(James 4:14 NKJV)

FUNNY TOILET

That's a funny looking toilet.  It does not look like mine,
and I'll bet it does not look like yours either.  But I find
it in most of the hospital rooms I have been in lately.

I would hate to have a bottom shaped like that.  But for
my sake they have put a partial seat that will fold down

But what is really odd to me is that funny little
pipe that is folded up toward the flush handle.
I have wondered a long time what it is for.  But
was afraid to ask.  It might embarrass me.  I am
a man and perhaps I am not suppose to know.

Being as tall as I am I have never noticed the head
of the thing.  But the other day when looking down
at it, it looked like a shower head.

That's what it is.
It works when it is pulled all the way down.
Of course, I am still confused.  I stand about 6' 2"
tall.  And that thing is not even high enough for
me to sit under.

But it sure does work good.

Look at that thing squirt.
Hey!  Maybe it is to wash you feet with.
Oh well.  If you know why, let me know.

DREAMS

Found this in a kitchen.
SURPRISED?

"A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to sleep -
So shall your poverty come on
you like a prowler
And your need like an armed man."
(Proverbs 6:10,11 NKJV)

HERE'S PROOF

I live in the Ozarks.

God has allowed me to buy a little patch of woods
to go "hide" in when I need time out.

A short time back while there in the woods I sat down
and noticed this pretty little rock.  As I looked closely
at it, I realized that I had another fossil of a sea shell in
my hand.  Thus far I have found more than a dozen
fossils of sea shells in this patch of woods.  This
particular fossil is only about 2" across.  It has the
smallest shells I have found yet.  It is a cluster of about
6 small shells.  Several still have fragments of the sea
shell left in it to this day.

SO!
My topo map shows this property to be at an elevation
of 2000' above sea level.  And about 400 miles from
the closets sea.

How did these get into my woods?

"The flood continued for forty days,
and the water became deep enough
for the boat to float.  The water became
deeper, and the boat drifted on the surface.
it became so deep that it covered the
highest mountain; it went on rising until
it was about twenty five feed above the
tops of the mountains."
(Genesis 7:17-20 TEV)

There you have it.  I have proof of it right here in the Ozarks.

SORRY.  Poor photographer.
