THANKSGIVING

True thanksgiving can only begin with
thanksgiving to the one who made all
things to begin with. Jesus Christ.

The Psalmist said,
"Let the giving of thanks be your
sacrifice to God..." - Psalms 50:14 (TEV)

Even the Greek historian Plutarch stated,
"The worship most acceptable to God,
comes from a thankful and cheerful
heart."

Jesus, creator of heaven and earth, giver
of life to mankind. "I will give you a
sacrifice of thanksgiving and offer my
prayer to you." - Psalms 116:17 (TEV)

Amen.

Dangle

I first heard of a "split infinitive" from an
English teacher about 62 years ago.

What is it? I have no earthly idea.

A "dangling participle" is something I have
heard of about as long.

What is it? I don't know. But it must
dangle. The pictures are of things that are
dangling and I do not know what they are.
Perhaps they are "dangling participles".

Why do I not know about them? I did not
care, or take the time to find out.

Do I regret this. YES. Much latter taking
all the college English I could get, with
good grades, it still "did not sink in."

I missed my chance to learn some important
things when I could have.

God gives us a chance to learn about some
life and death matters in His book the
Bible. If we will.

But will we while we have a chance?

TESTING

SORRY ABOUT THIS. It is another mistake on
my part.

But for forty years I have said , "A turtle does
not go anywhere without sticking it's neck out."

That picture is not a turtle. It is a giraffe.
But that is how far I stick my neck out

sometimes

Just thank God that you do not make crazy

mistakes like I do, because you are so much
more skillful than me.

Then pray for me to be as smart as you are.

MEETING EVERY NEED

These old boys meet every need of their guest.

When they take their guests on an outing every comfort is considered. This accommodation is designed to accompany them with each excursion along public streets. On these field trips they check nature and the environmental impact of the public on these scenic areas. Then in those places where the public has been negligent they try to return it to it's pristine beauty.

If you are interested I could put you in contact with the department. They possibly would welcome you on one of these scenic trips. They will even carry their guns to protect you while you are admiring nature along the road side and removing unsightly debris from a thoughtless public.

This particular county furnishes an orange suit for your protection and visibility.

Or if orange is not your color, the county just north of us furnishes suits with strips on them. The strips are black and white making a nice contrast. Also if you are overly conscious about being too tall and thin, the strips go around you to make you look just a little heavier.

But any way you look at it, if you think green is really "in" along the road side. Consider joining one of these counties in a roadside outing. You could make a difference.

SIMPLE MADE COMPLICATED

"God made us plain and simple,

but we have made ourselves very complicated."

-Ecclesiastes 7:29 (TEV)

MOTORCYCLE STAGES

Any good motorcycle goes through
stages. This is what mine looked
like when I bought it.

The first week I took off the kitchen
sink, the linen closets and the barn
door. That saved over 70 lbs.

Rode it like this as a work motorcycle
for years.

Then I retired. Got board and turned
it into this.

Was fun. But being retired I went to
riding a lot of back dirt roads and into
the National Forest.

Bobbers do not work well there.

So!

Came this. Works good. Enough
stuff on board to live in the woods for
several days if necessary.

Depending on some "pending" circumstances.
This may change.

Possible motorcycle prototypes to consider below.

The high gas mileage motorcycle.

Or the camouflage model.

What is your suggestion for the next
generation of this motorcycle???

ABANDONED

I have always enjoyed seeing abandoned
buildings. Why? I do not know. Probably
because there were none in the area I
grew up in. And it is obvious that someone
needs to explore them. "Me".

However, abandoned people, or being
abandoned is something else. Life has
a way of being harsh. Often we feel left
out or abandoned - even when not.

I often feel left out when it comes to
people. We are walking two different
roads. I do not want to share in the
end result of their life.

But in over fifty some years of walking
or living with God, He has never
abandoned me.

"For God has said, 'I will never leave you;
I will never abandon you.'"
- Hebrews 13:5 (GNB)

If you will go with God, you will never be
abandoned.

THE MASTER ARTIST

The master artist.

This scene was out our kitchen window one
evening. The way I love nature brings to my mind
how God does every thing better than man. Man
can only copy what God has done to one degree
or another.

Perhaps the most beautiful of all sights
is when some old wreck of a human, man or
woman, finally turns to God. Then accepts
Jesus Christ into their life to save their
soul and be their master and Lord.

The joy that comes into their heart, the
hope that fills their mind, the peace that floods
their soul, and the smile on their face is one of
the greatest pieces of God's work. Man can't do
it. It's God that is the true master artist.
