A FAVORITE PLACE

Alright. I'll confess. I was just messing around with the pictures and HTML trying to learn a little bit. Of course that hurts so bad I learn very slowly.

Then it occurred you might like to see one of my favorite hang outs. This one is near Forum, AR.

You no doubt figured out one of my greatest joys is being out in God's creation. NO. Creation did not just happen by it's self any more than my ride there just happened because I accidentally fell onto my motorcycle and it just happened to start by it's self.

Hope to meet you there the next time I go.

NEEDS OIL

Best compressor I ever had. Bought it used. It outlasted one new one, then out worked another new one. They just don't make them like that anymore.

But after about fifteen years it quit. Stopped, locked up, froze up, gave up.

When I dumped the oil out of it, there wasn't any. But, it had an oil dip stick, and place to put oil in. Will the surprises never end? It had oil in it when it was bought. Must have been cheap oil. Things simply go better with oil.

Life is like that for most of us. We go and go and go. Then life begins to grind on us hard, metal to metal, then to a halt.

But I've found the best oil ever. I simply go to Jesus for an oil change.

GEAR HEAD

I have always considered myself a "gear head". That was because I could not qualify for: student, geek, techie, smart, athletic, writer, artistic or rich.

One definition given on the Internet says a gear head is, ":a person who pursues mechanical or technological interests (as in automobiles or computers):" I still might make it.

But then I found a real "gear head". It is so much better looking than myself and smarter, that I'm ashamed of myself. Now I don't know what I am.

The genuine gear head above I found at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park in Prairie Grove, AR. As you can see it is a very complicated high tech peace
of equipment. It's no wonder this old hill billy feels so humiliated and inferior.

But there is a day coming when God is going bring down ALL of the pride of mankind. So I guess a head start on humility would be good for me.
